Clearwater Youth encounter (formerly LYFE)


Clearwater Encounter is a youth event put on by the staff and students of Clearwater College. Once a year, in the spring, youth from
throughout Canada come to the Clearwater College campus for a weekend of fun, relationship, teaching, and encountering God.

SPEAKER // Chad Fisher


Chad is the pastor of Cornerstone Community Church in Edmonton and the FCA Assistant Regional Coordinator for the 780 region in Alberta.

He is passionate about God, His Kingdom and bringing hope to others through Jesus and the power of His Holy Spirit. His desire is to see people grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Chad is married and has two adult daughters.

Mission

What would it look like if you were face to face with God? If you were to encounter God in that way, would you stay the same? What would change? These are some of the questions we ask every time we begin planning a Clearwater Encounter event. 


Our aim is to give young people the opportunity to experience God in a real way, to present the Gospel of Christ, and to extend the Kingdom of God through the equipping of young believers for ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit. 

Activities

Each Clearwater Encounter is a weekend filled with fun activities, meaningful worship, and inspiring messages. Ice breakers, creative games, and comfortable lounge areas provide opportunities for youth to let their hair down, enjoy new experiences, and make friends.

what to bring

Please note that due to the amount of people who come to Clearwater Youth Encounter, the rooms that you will be staying in may be rather crowded. Please keep this in mind while packing. Thank you.

  • Bible
  • Friends
  • Sleeping Bag
  • Mattress (you will likely appreciate it later)
  • Warm clothing for outdoor activities
  • and other stuff like: towel, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.

Clearwater Youth Encounter is held on the scenic campus of Clearwater College which is located 12 kilometers west of Caroline, Alberta.

The Clearwater Campus is about 30 minutes from Rocky Mountain House, 1 hour from Red Deer, 2 hours from Calgary, and 2 1/2 hours from Edmonton.
